Founded in 1981 to serve as a U.S. ally to Peace Now (Shalom Achshav), a large Israeli grassroots peace group founded in 1978 by 348 reserve officers of the Israeli Defense Forces
A U.S. Jewish organization guided by the mitzvah, or obligation, to pursue peace and justice rooted in secular and religious Jewish traditions
Established in 1989 by Slim Fast Foods Chair S. D. Abraham and Utah Congressman Wayne Owens who both share a desire to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Interestingly, Abraham is a member of the AIPAC Board.

Founded in 1989, The Jewish Peace Lobby is an American Jewish organization which seeks to promote a just and lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The organization is now made up of over 5,000 members and 400 rabbis. JPL has worked on issues such as on-the-ground Israeli-Palestinian cooperation.
